The Swedish Competition Authority's investigations in the hotel market continue

The Competition Authority is currently examining competition problems in the hotel sector and invited market stakeholders to submit their views in December. The background is that Booking.com has offered a commitment to change their contract terms to address the competition concerns identified by the Competition Authority.
The response time for submitting views has now lapsed and the Competition Authority will analyse the approximately 150 submissions received. The Competition Authority will then decide whether there are grounds for accepting Booking.com's commitment. A decision to accept the commitment would be binding for Booking.com.
